Not too difficult to grow
Plant pot grown or bare root runners (young plants) 30cm apart in rows at 60cm. Can also be grown in large pots. Choose well drained fertile soil on a sunny site.
Protect from slugs and use nets to deter birds. Remove first flush of flowers for a good crop in second year. Keep fruit clean with straw, sheeting or mats underneath.
Pick when fully coloured. Cover with fleece for a longer harvest. Replace plants every three years (use new location) to maintain quality. Pot on or remove runners.
